Website Policy

This website has been constructed on the principles of Quality, Accessibility and Usability. It attempts to set a new standard for school websites that embraces universal Web Standards and is carefully considerate of the needs of pupils, parents and other visitors.

Quality

Using current techniques and best practises, this commercial-standard website has been developed to be useful, clear and easy to navigate.

Usability

The design, layout and navigation has been thoughtfully considered to be simple and intuitive. Each page has been carefully coded to W3C guidelines for interoperability across browsers.

Accessibility

Great care has been taken to make the content of this website as accessible as is reasonably possible to all users regardless of technology or circumstances.

Alternative display options are provided using the links at the very top of each page, and navigation is possible through the use of specially assigned access keys. Please see Accessibility Help for more information (Access Key 'A').

The design and layout of each page is achieved with separate Cascading Style sheets and can be overridden at any time through the user's browser options.

Web Standards

Every attempt has been made to comply to universal Web Standards. Each page of the public front-end is written using valid W3C HTML Strict and conform to AWI Level AA Accessibility. The layout, design and content are also respectful of the recommendations of BECTA for good educational websites.
